Marçal Perramon grew up in Barcelona, where he developed his musical skills playing with the Sant Andreu Jazz Band under the direction of Joan Chamorro. He spent his youth studying with various saxophonists from the Spanish scene such as Joan Chamorro, Gabriel Amargant, Alfons Carrascossa, and Santi De La Rubia before enrolling at the Superior School of Music of Catalonia (ESMuC) in 2017, where he pursued studies in jazz performance with Eladio Reinón and Gorka Benítez. He received the Jazz Student Award from the Anna Riera Foundation for his outstanding performance at ESMuC.

In 2021, he moved to Basel, Switzerland, where he completed a master's degree in Performance and Composition at JazzCampus (FHNW) with professors Mark Turner, Chris Cheek, Domenic Landolf, Ambrose Akinmusire, and Jorge Rossy.

In addition to participating in over 30 recordings as a sideman, Marçal Perramon co-led the album "Joan Chamorro presenta Marçal Perramon" (Jazz to Jazz 2021) and the album "Somewhere (Fresh Sound New Talent 2024) with Giuseppe Campisi, Camil Arcarazo and Jorge Rossy.
